Sobel Wellness will officially launch as a company in January and I will be ready to see clients. At the moment I am accepting potential clients for a health history which is a one hour session where we discuss your health and goals for 2008. If you would be interested in scheduling a health history please email at meredith@sobelwellness.com. Please visit www.sobelwellness.com to learn more about my services.
I find the holidays a difficult and stressful time to stay motivated with health and wellness goals. There are holiday parties with a bit too much holiday cheer, holiday food, holiday desserts and everyone starts to slow down. No wonder the first monday in January has gyms full to capacity. But here are a few tips to enjoy the holidays without losing sight of your goals:
1) There are always raw vegetables and nuts to be found at any holiday party, try to load up on these to fill you up before going for the fried food and heavier stews and desserts.
2) Remember liquid calories. A gin and tonic has about 118 calories, a glass of red wine 80 calories, but a magarita or apple martini has about 400. Enjoy all alcohol in moderation - but remember those calories add up.
3) Dancing is wonderful physical exercise and can afford you a few margaritas if you indulge in enough.
Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season and looking forward to seeing you all soon. My newsletter will launch later this month. If you would like to be on the list, please email meredith@sobelwellness.com.
